The major focus of healthcare services in Qatar has so far, been on hospital-based care. To effectively deliver an integrated model of services for the country, Qatar’s health sector must shift the balance of care toward a preventive and community-based model, including but not limited to, primary healthcare services from health centres. Project 1.2 will ensure that the acute care services delivered in hospitals meet evidence-based standards and address the needs of the population for years to come.
As the National Health Strategy Program 2011-2016 draws to a close, project information is currently being updated and will be available in the coming weeks.
